Self Confidence - How To Improve Your Self Confidence
Improving your self confidence will help you reach your dreams, goals, and desires in life. Fear and a lack of self confidence are two major reasons why you may find it hard to do what is in your heart to do.
Here are 3 keys to improve your self confidence so that you can reach your dreams in life:
1. Step out of your comfort zone. This is never easy but as long as you are inside of your comfort zone you will never be able to improve your comfort zone. You don’t have to do huge things outside of your comfort zone but consistently do something. The more you step outside of you comfort zone the more you will find that things that used to bother you no longer do. Confident people do the things that others don't, in order to receive the rewards that others cannot.
2. Stop doubting yourself. Your own negative thoughts about yourself are your worst enemy. From now on, make it a point to stop doubting everything that you do. Begin to tell yourself to think positively and believe that you can do anything that want to do. At first you will have that nagging voice in the back of your head telling you that you can’t but you just have to ignore it. One effective way to remind yourself to think positively is to wear a rubber band on your wrist. Each time a negative thought comes to you, shoot yourself on the wrist and repeat the postive version of the thought.
3. Hang around confident people. Have you ever heard the phrase, ‘Birds of a feather flock together’? If you want to improve your self confidence, you need to stop hanging around people that aren’t confident themselves. Fire your negative friends and hire new friends. Find friends who are open to your new ideas and encourage you to push your limits. It may be intimidating at first when you start hanging out with self confident people but stick with it. Before long you will find that you are starting to improve your self confidence.
